Terms of Use
Last updated: 28 June 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Ladder of Life website, and your engagement of any service offered by Ladder of Life Pte. Ltd. (UEN: 202550589K) ("Ladder of Life," "we," "us," or "our"), including the AI Literacy Workshop, the Zero to Hero programme, The Edge workshops (Land The Room™ and Hold The Room™), and our consultancy and advisory services.
By accessing our website or engaging any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or engage our services.
For how we handle personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use our website or engage our services. By using our website or engaging our services, you represent that you meet this requirement.
2. Use of the Website
You may use our website for your own personal or business research and engagement purposes. You agree not to:
- Scrape, copy, or reproduce substantial parts of our website content for commercial redistribution;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our website or any tools on it;
- Use our website in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it, or interfere with anyone else's use of it;
- Use our website for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
We may suspend or restrict access to our website, in whole or in part, at our discretion and without notice, including where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.
3. Intellectual Property
All content on our website — including text, graphics, logos, the "Land The Room™" and "Hold The Room™" marks, curriculum materials, slide decks, frameworks, and methodologies — is owned by Ladder of Life or our licensors, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
If you attend a workshop, course, or the AI Academy, any materials provided to you (slides, worksheets, templates, recordings) are licensed to you for your own personal or internal business learning use only. You may not resell, redistribute, publicly republish, or use these materials to create a competing commercial offering without our prior written consent.
4. Free Tools — No Warranty, Informational Only
Tools on our website offered free of charge (such as the AI Readiness Score) are provided for general informational and self-assessment purposes only. They do not constitute professional advice, are not tailored to your specific circumstances, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for a proper consultancy engagement. We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or applicability of any output from these tools.
5. Workshops, Courses & The AI Academy
5.1 Registration and Payment
Registration for any workshop, course, or programme (including the AI Literacy Workshop, Zero to Hero, Land The Room™, and Hold The Room™) is confirmed only upon our acknowledgement and, where applicable, receipt of payment. Fees, payment terms, and any cancellation or rescheduling policy will be communicated to you at the time of booking; where this Terms page and a specific booking communication conflict on commercial terms (price, dates, refund window), the specific booking communication prevails.
5.2 Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds
Cancellation, rescheduling, and refund terms for any specific workshop, course, or programme are set out in the Terms of Engagement provided to you at the time of booking. Please refer to your Terms of Engagement for the policy applicable to your registration.
5.3 Code of Conduct
We expect all participants to engage respectfully with facilitators and fellow participants. We reserve the right to remove any participant from a session, without refund, for conduct that is abusive, disruptive, or otherwise inconsistent with a safe and productive learning environment.
5.4 Recording and Photography
We may photograph or record sessions for our own marketing, archival, or quality-improvement purposes. By attending, you consent to such recording, except where you have notified us in advance and in writing that you do not consent, in which case we will take reasonable steps to exclude you from such material.
5.5 No Guarantee of Outcomes
While we design our workshops and curriculum to be genuinely useful and hands-on, we do not guarantee that any individual participant will successfully build, launch, monetise, or maintain any product, app, or skill as a result of attending. Outcomes depend significantly on factors outside our control, including your own effort, prior experience, and circumstances.
6. Zero to Hero — Apps Built During the Programme
If you build an app, website, or other product during Zero to Hero (whether using the Lovable track, the Claude Code track, or any tool we introduce), you are solely responsible for that product — including but not limited to:
- Its functionality, security, accuracy, and fitness for any purpose;
- Compliance with the App Store, Google Play Store, or any other distribution platform's policies and review guidelines;
- Compliance with applicable law, including data protection, consumer protection, and tax law, in any jurisdiction where you publish, distribute, or monetise it;
- Any payments, subscriptions, or other monetisation you configure, including correct integration of any third-party payment or billing provider;
- Ongoing maintenance, bug fixes, customer support, and security patching after the programme ends.
Ladder of Life provides instruction and guidance during the programme but does not warrant, support, or accept liability for any product you build, publish, or operate during or after the programme, whether or not it was built using techniques, prompts, or code patterns we taught.
7. Consultancy and Advisory Services
Our consultancy, advisory, and "Build With AI" / "Partner" engagements are governed primarily by the specific engagement letter, proposal, or service agreement agreed between Ladder of Life and the client for that engagement. These Terms apply generally to our relationship and to use of our website, but where a signed engagement letter or service agreement contains terms that conflict with these Terms (for example, on scope, fees, confidentiality, or liability caps specific to that engagement), the engagement letter or service agreement prevails for that engagement.
8. Third-Party Tools and Services
Our workshops, curriculum, and own product builds make use of third-party AI tools and services, including but not limited to Claude (Anthropic), Claude Code, Lovable, Supabase, Stripe, and RevenueCat. We do not own, operate, or control these third-party tools. We make no warranty regarding their availability, pricing, features, security, or continued existence, and we are not liable for any loss or disruption arising from changes to, outages of, or issues with any third-party tool, however caused.
Your use of any third-party tool is subject to that tool's own terms of service and privacy policy, which we encourage you to review independently.
9. No Professional, Financial, or Legal Advice
General content on our website, our free tools, and the educational content delivered in our workshops and courses are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute legal, financial, tax, or other professional advice specific to your circumstances. Where you require advice tailored to your specific situation, you should engage us (or another appropriately qualified professional) directly for that purpose, and any such tailored advice will be governed by the relevant engagement letter or service agreement, not by general website or workshop content.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our website, free tools, workshops, and general content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy, in connection with our website and any content, tool, or general (non-engagement-specific) guidance we provide.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law:
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunity, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of our website, our free tools, our workshops or courses, or general (non-engagement-specific) advice, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
- Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with our website, free tools, workshops, or courses (as distinct from a specific paid consultancy or advisory engagement, which is separately governed by its own engagement letter) shall not exceed the total amount you have actually paid to us for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or SGD 500, whichever is higher.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Singapore law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or liability for fraud.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Ladder of Life, its directors, employees, and facilitators harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your misuse of our website, free tools, or workshop materials; (c) any product, app, or service you build, publish, or operate using anything taught or provided in our workshops or courses; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
13. Confidentiality
Where we engage in a consultancy or advisory relationship with you and receive confidential business information, we will treat that information as confidential and use it only for the purposes of the engagement, subject to any more specific confidentiality terms in the relevant engagement letter or a separately signed non-disclosure agreement. This general undertaking does not, by itself, create obligations broader than what is reasonable and customary for a professional services engagement of this nature.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to our website or any ongoing service at our discretion, including where we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, without liability to you, except as may be required by an existing engagement letter or service agreement already in force.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, our website, or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, save that either party may seek to resolve a dispute through mediation or arbitration if both parties agree to do so in writing.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our website or services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with any specific engagement letter or service agreement applicable to you, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ladder of Life regarding their subject matter.
